Tampa businesses seek to attract RNC protesters

Posted on 09 August 2012 by admin

(Tampa, Florida) – Some Tampa businesses are hoping to entice protesters at the Republican National Convention to take a break from demonstrating and spend some cash.

The Tampa Bay Times reported that Cafe Hey in downtown bills itself as “Tampa’s official oasis of chill” during the convention, and will host a political art show, medical station and, possibly, a Woodie Guthrie sing-a-long.

Other business not catering to Republicans include the New World Brewery and Market, which is hosting an RNC resistance event, the Times said.
