27 FL. House Members Reject Republican Principles

Posted on 24 January 2010 by admin

Adam Putnam

This past Friday 27 Florida House members rejected the Republican Party principles of smaller government, less taxes and endorsed a big government Wilsonian Progressive Republican.  These Florida House of Representatives Members endorsed Adam Putnam for Commissioner of Agriculture.

Representative Tom Anderson; Representative Rachel V. Burgin; Speaker-Designate Dean Cannon; Representative Steve Crisafulli; Representative Marti Coley; Representative Faye Culp; Representative Christopher E. Dorworth; Representative Jim Frishe; Representative Rich Glorioso; Representative Tom Grady; Representative Denise Grimsley; Majority Leader Adam Hasner; Representative Doug Holder; Representative Ed Homan, M.D. ;Representative Mike Horner; Representative Matt Hudson; Representative Paige Kreegel; Representative Debbie Mayfield; Representative Seth McKeel; Representative Ralph Poppell; Representative Bill Proctor; Representative Ron Reagan; Representative Kenneth L. Roberson; Representative Kelli Stargel; Representative Baxter Troutman; Representative Will Weatherford; Representative Trudi Williams

Putnam currently a Congressman for the 12th District of Florida represents exactly what the Tea Party protests have been against.  Putnam has voted for TARP (Bailout) Illegal Alien Amnesty Bill, Patriot Act,  Real ID, and the FDA  Food Control Bill.

Adam Putnam has and will increase Government Power and Government Spending.  He is a tool of the special interest.  Just a look at his campaign contributions will show you that he is being bought off by Monsato, US Sugar, Florida Phosphate and other huge corporations that get special favors from the State of Florida.

If you ask me I know 27 Members of the Florida House that should not be re-elected.  Putnam is on track to become a career politician.  If elected as Commissioner his plans would call for staying in the office for a term, then moving on to something else most likely the Gubernatorial and then Presidential Election.

If the citizens of Florida are true to the calls I have heard at Tea Parties calling for Smaller Government, Less Spending, More Individual Freedom & LIBERTY then dump Putnam.   Putnam will not serve the People of Florida.  He will serve himself and the special interests.

Having voted for Adam Putnam in the past, I must confess my disappointment on his leadership. Just the Bank Bailout alone disqualified him as a principled fiscal conservative. His speeches are well crafted and beautifully delivered, but lack the substance of conviction. He votes party line, no matter if it is the proper vote. A rubber stamp would be cheaper and easier to maintain, without all the faux grandstanding. Besides costing tax payers billions and billions to bankers, and as you noted, he is no friend of freedom and liberty. Once the grassroots activist get a closer look at Congressman Putnam the uproar may be deafening. However, I doubt it will matter, when half of his constitutes were saying “NO” and the other half was saying “HELL NO” he ignored them and made pretty speeches. He is the Obama of the Republican Party, he just looked damn good making them speeches that say nothing of his true feelings. I’m sorry for the going on about his speeches, but they are convincing. Did I mention he is really good at speech making, surly we desire better then lip service.

I have to agree with the article, he is the worse representative for Freedom, Liberty, smaller government or less wasteful, special interest spending. The self serving politicians have clearly identified themselves by endorsing his Goldmen Sach’s Soul. Heaven have mercy on them, for it is not our duty to take prisioner…s of these Non-Representing Representatives. Their 30 pieces of silver from the Special Interest Lobiests will no longer protect them as their theiving carreers go down to the depth of hell where they belong!!!

Now let me tell you how I really feel.

Heath has Putnam nailed exactly right. He is on track to being a life-long career pol. His voting record as reported by the non-partisan National Taxpayers Union falls right in the middle of the Repubs –no Taxpayers’ Friend! The Club for Growth compiled a 2009 RePork Card which scored how many votes to strip Bills of costly pork (earmarks)and Adam voted against only 12 of 68! Way down with the Lib Dems. Let’s hope his successor in the 12 District is more principled.

  4. Kenneth Says:

Carey Baker is the one we need for Ag Commissioner. He wants to be a bulwerk against the flood of federal mandates, protect and issue our Gun rights and CCPs, and allow small farmers to sell thier canned goods without filing for an $800 permit per item per year. I urge freedom loving people to vote and support Carey Baker.
