Looks as though Republicans are starting to return back to their conservative roots.  It is starting to look like the local Republican Executive Committee’s have more backbone than the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) does.  When Charlie Crist announced his candidacy it looked as though Charlie was getting some special attention from his pal Jim Greer, Chairman of the RPOF.

There have been two straw polls held in the state so far.  At the Pasco county REC meeting Rubio beat Crist 73-9.  In a similar poll head in Monroe county REC Rubio AGAIN came out on top 16 – 2!

So are you worried yet Charlie?  The conservative base is telling you that they want someone that represents the ideals and core principals of the Republican party and not some RINO (Republican in Name Only)

It is high time that the Republican Party returns to their conservative principles. Personally I would love to see it return to the party of Ronald Reagan, Barry Goldwater, or even Robert Taft.
